For the past few weeks we have been learning the dances for the production which is getting closer and closer everyday, YESSS. I will be talking about the dances we have learnt and what one I like the best and what one I need more practice with.
The first one we learnt was a dance that had moves quite complicated at first but the it was easy after a while. The song that is used is called Extra Curricular- Robbin Hood. The song isn't that fast but it can repeat the words in quite odd places where you wouldn't expect.
The second one we learnt was last Friday so the moves are still sinking in and definitely more practice is required. The song that is used is No Money which is a pop song that came out a couple of months ago. The song is quite fast and that means the moves are fast and a few are confusing. There are also a few more moves to learn.
My favourite one would have to be.... both of them because they are really cool dances and I will happy with either dance because it is my last production and year at St Bens ,Sad face:(. That is my blog post for this week come back soon for another.

Earth has TWO MOONS! Could this be REAL!
Have you always wanted Earth to have two moons? Have you been asking why do some planets in our solar system have lots of moons? Well your dreams and thoughts have come true. Here is what has happened.
NASA scientists have been in Maui, Hawaii researching further into space for a decade. But while doing this they noticed a small asteroid looping the earth in the same spot every time. They reckon it has been here for a decade. But don't have your hopes to high because scientists are naming this 'moon' a quasi-moon. This 'moon' follows the the exact orbit route as the earth. This asteroid takes 16.6 hours longer than the earth to orbit the sun.
Apparently back in 2003 there was something similar like this but then later on in the year it vanished into thin air! Maybe it has come back? Could this be a second moon? Or is it just a....
what are they called.... a U.F.O.

OLYMPICS!!!
In the weekend the Olympics started in Rio, the first Olympic Games in South America ever. I will be talking about what sport I watched, did I learn something about that sport or was I an expert and who got onto the podium.
The sport I watched at the Olympics was the Air Rifle 10m Woman's. I didn't even know it was on the TV so it was a coincidence.
There wasn't much excitement to it but it was cool just watching how good they were at the sport and who would win.
I was definitely not an expert on the sport but I did learn a handful of things I didn't know.
The first thing I learnt was that I didn't realise they shot inside but then it would be fine because the bullet is really small. Another one is that they wear lots of gear to stop them from getting distracted like wearing ear plugs, plastic flaps over one eye and a cap. Also the air rifle is very different than mine, the ones they use are very light weight and odd looking but very sophisticated.
The people who got on the podium were two Chinese and an American. Yi Siling won bronze with a total score of 185.4. Du Li won silver with a total score of 207. And the winner was Virginia Thrasher from America with a total score of 208.
That is my blog post for this week. Come back soon for another blog post:)

Book Groups!!!
Book groups started this week which is really good because i enjoyed book groups a lot last year. But before I start I am back from Term 2 holidays so haven't done any blog posts for a few weeks.
The book I am reading is The Silver Sword by Ian Serraillier. I have only read 2 chapters of the book so far so I cant tell you to much basically the father of three kids has been captured by the Nazis and Joseph (the father) tries to escape the Labour camp. Which he does and he tries to get as far away as possible. I am enjoying the book at the moment and there is quite a lot of action. There is also lots of really good descriptive words that paint the picture for you.
Our group did work well together for the first meeting. We spoke a lot about the book and our ideas on what might happen next. We didn't muck around and waste time. Things I could do to make the discussions better could be talking more about what we just read and making sure everyone understands certain things that has happened.
